Growing up in Brisbane, BAB was a cornerstone of my life. It offered me opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise pursued, like performing in dramas, dancing, and singing at the tender age of 7. The various sporting competitions also instilled in me a strong sense of community and belonging. My volunteering journey began in school, where I participated in small groups to create yearbooks and videos. After completing my studies, I continued volunteering with the Red Cross. My passion for giving back led me to start small football, cricket, and tennis clubs or teams. I hope to leverage my knowledge and deep-rooted connections within the Bangladeshi community of Brisbane to contribute meaningfully to BAB and make it an even better organization.
